This talk briefly discusses the issues faced by the radiologist in the early detection of lung cancer. This includes the CT equipment, radiation issues, patient factors and reporting issues. The variable appearances of lung cancer in CT images is discussed. Lung cancer can mimic benign pathologies, and can also be mimicked by benign processes.
