I trained as a colorectal surgeon at St Mark’s Hospital in the UK . I completed a Masters in Surgery examining polyp chemoprevention in patients with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis using celecoxib. I became a consultant colorectal surgeon in the UK in 2000. I emigrated to Australia in 2007 to learn laparoscopic surgery and have been in Perth since then. I am currently an Associate Professor at UWA and colorectal surgeon at Fiona Stanley Hospital. I run the Family Cancer Clinic for patients south of the river, coordinating their care and follow-up.
